Who are the doulas who volunteer with the BADP? They’re amazing, diverse people, doing so much great work in the world, it’s hard to believe any of them has time to volunteer with us. We’ve been using this space to introduce you to many of the BADP doulas. This week, meet Barby Zeldovich.
Barby Zeldovich is a postdoctoral fellow at UCSF studying the infectious causes of preterm labor, and specifically looking at infection and inflammation of the placenta. She is deeply committed to empowering women and girls about sexuality and reproductive choices both on the small scale of everyday rebellions and in the larger context of social change. She is currently a health educator at the Women’s Community Clinic, an activist with ACCESS Reproductive Justice, and a newly trained Abortion Doula! Aside from science and reproductive justice, she loves kale, her broken bike, and gluing pieces of paper to other pieces of paper.
