Call ACCESS! They can help.
The heart of their work is their bilingual ACCESS Healthline, and it is a crucial link to resources for people in need of reproductive healthcare. They provide free and confidential information, referrals, advocacy and peer counseling on the full range of reproductive and sexual health issues, with a special expertise in pregnancy options and abortion services.
Call ACCESS if you have questions regarding: abortion, birth control, pregnancy, prenatal care, emergency contraception, pap smears, infertility, STIs & HIV, adoption, midwifery, teen health, safer sex and relationships, health insurance, or where to find a reproductive healthcare provider.
ACCESS connects people with free and low-cost programs that pay for this care, such as FamilyPACT, Medi-Cal or AIM (Access for Infants and Mothers). They also refer to organizations that can help with other issues such as domestic violence, sexual assault, drug addiction, homelessness and child care. They offer a dedicated full-time Spanish healthline and additional languages may be provided.
They may also be able to help with transportation, housing or funding if you have to travel a long way to get to an abortion provider. Their services are open to all women and men living in California — your age, income, insurance or immigration status does not matter!
If you are pregnant and unsure how to feel or what to do next, or you want to talk about a past or current experience with abortion, adoption, parenting, infertility or pregnancy loss, call the All-Options Talkline at 1-888-493-0092 from anywhere in the United States or Canada.
All-Options offers peer-based counseling and support. Their volunteer Talkline Advocates are not licensed healthcare providers or mental health specialists. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency or having thoughts of hurting yourself, please call 1.800.273.TALK (in the US) or 1.800.SUICIDE (in the US or Canada), 24 hours/day. All-Options reserves the right to block, without warning, any inappropriate or abusive callers.
